~ The World's Easiest and Fastest Beanie Pattern ~

This knitting pattern is written in plain English and is for absolute beginners. It uses only one stitch: garter.
 
To make the beanie you will need:
Step One: cast on
 
Sizing
newborn to 6 months old cast on 70 stitches
6 months to 2 years cast on  80 stitches
2 years to 5 years cast on  90 stitches
5 to 10 years cost on  100 stitches
smal l- medium adult cast on 105 stitches
medium – large adult cast on 110 stitches
 
For stripes alternate wool every few rows of stitching depending on the desired thickness of the stripe.
 
Step Two: knit up
 
newborn to 6 months knit 40 rows of garter stitch
6 months to 2 years knit 45 rows of garter stitch
2 years to 5 years knit 50 rows of garter stitch
5 to 10 years knit 55 rows of garter stitch
Small - medium adult knit 60 rows of garter stitch
Small - medium adult knit 63 rows of garter stitch
 
Step Three: cast off
 
Step Four: sew up
 
Step Five: make the pom-poms
 
Next you need to make your pom-poms. Cut out two pieces of cardboard in circular shapes with a diameter of 5cm. Cut a smaller hole in the centre with a diameter of 1.5 cm.

Hold the card board together as you begin to wrap wool through the centre of the card board and around the edge until you can't poke any more wool through the centre.

Then take a pair of scissors and trim the wool at the edge.

Take another piece of wool and insert it between the two pieces of cardboard wrapping it around the centre of the wool.

Then tie a firm knot.
 
Cut away the cardboard and you should have a pom-pom. Repeat to make two pom-poms.

Step Six: sew the pom-poms on to beanie

Step Seven: put the beanie on your head!
